Hi Everyone! Hope you are doing well!

Things are going really good in our house. My little brother is going to be 11 weeks old tomorrow! Time sure does fly. He is doing super duper great! He is sooo smiley and loves when you talk to him and make funny noises at him. He enjoys play time on his mat and loves the swing and bouncy chair. He is sleeping really good for mommy and daddy. He averages about 7 hours before he needs to eat again. So my Mom is feeling much more rested these days. Kesler had his 2 month appointment last Monday. He weighed 12#4oz and was 23 inches long. He's in the 50th percentile for his weight/height. I sure do love having a little brother. I talk to him and try to tickle him lots. I think he'll be a little more fun once he can actually play with me.

I'm doing great too! THe BIGGEST news is that I'm potty trained! I'm a big girl now and don't need those diapers anymore. I basically potty trained myself. From the first day where I wore only big girl undies - i've only had one accident! Even sleeping at night with big girl undies!! YAHOO. As a reward, my Mom and Dad decorated Kesler and I's bathroom with Monkey decor! Its super cute.

We've had a fun summer. Lots of swimming, lots of swinging at the park, hanging out with friends and family too. I've been to the beach a couple of times - i really enjoy playing in the sand and building sand castles!

Recently my mom has started working out so she brings Kesler and I to the gym daycare. Its a nice break for my Mom and I know she enjoys working out and getting back into shape.

We recently got a visit from my Great Aunt and Uncle Mel and David from Nebraska! Mel is my granpa's sister! It was fun to see her again. Aunt Heather and Cousin Kaitlyn also came - I love when Kaitlyn comes and we get to play. We both wore our matching Nebraska Cheer outfits!!

Week 4

Hi Guys!

My little brother will be 4 weeks old on Wed! He is doing really good! I'm having a great summer so far! Daddy is giving me swimming lessons and I'm doing really good! Yesterday I was kicking so good that with my water wings on, I was going all over the pool ALL BY MYSELF. I was even jumping in off the side by myself! I sure love the water! Its been hot here the last couple days - over 100 degrees!

I'm starting to become potty trained as well!! YAHOO. The last few days I've been wearing big girl undies and going in the potty MOST the time. =) Hopefully soon I won't need diapers anymore! I know my parents will be happy.

My Baby Brother is HERE!!!

Hi Everyone! My baby Brother was born last Wed June 2nd at 7:58am! He weighed 7lbs 2oz and was 19" long. His name is Kesler Samuel McPherson. He is such a good baby boy. We brought him home on Thursday and he has been doing so great! And my brother is SOO cool he already brought me some presents! I got some Roller Skates, A helmet, some princess books, a curious george book and some pretty nail polish!

My mom and dad are doing great too. Daddy has started Instructor Pilot upgrade so he is really busy with work and Mommy is really busy taking care of me and Kesler!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mommy's! I've been doing really good lately and having lots of fun. My Mommy is done working now so we've been spending lots of time together. We've been going on walks in the mornings which I really enjoy. We pick flowers along the way too!

Last weekend I got to spend both Saturday and Sunday with my Grandpa and Grandma, Aunt Heather, Cousin Kaitlyn and of course Mom and Dad. On Saturday they came over for dinner and we had a lot of fun. Kaitlyn and I got to go swimming in our pool -we both just love the water. I think that Grandma and Grandpa had a lot of fun watching us swim! Then on Sunday they came over again and we had a big Sunday morning brunch!

Yesterday Daddy took Mommy on a surprise Day Trip to Amador County Wineries! They went to a few wineries and tasted some wine - they said it was yummy. I made sure to tell Mom to not have too much - she said she just had a few sips. I know they bought a few bottles of wine since Mommy is looking forward to enjoying some soon! After the wine tasting they went to dinner at restaurant in Plymouth called Taste. Its a super fancy place in the tiny town of Plymouth. They both said the food was amazing and it was the best meal they'd had since they could remember! I'm glad they got so spend a special day together. I was really glad b/c I got to spend the day with Nanna and Poppa! We went to the park, played in the backyard in a pool, played with dolls, played with Gi-Gi - I had so much fun!! Thanks Nanna for a fun filled day!

My brother is still inside my Mommy's tummy - I don't quite understand how that works - but I really want him to come out soon because my Mom said he's bringing me some presents and I LOVE presents!! I'll keep you posted on him - he's supposed to come out May 28th - but maybe he'll be early (or late). Love you all!

New and Exciting Things (and people) to come!

Hi Friends and Family!
It has been quite awhile, but that doesn't mean i have forgotten about you! I have been doing SOO good! I'm just about 2 and a half years old now! I can say the whole alphabet, count to somewhere in the mid teens, and i can even identify all letters of the alphabet and numbers up to 10 on flash cards! I know all my shapes - even ones like Octagon and Trapezoid! I know all my colors too! My preschool is so great, they teach me sooo much! We do lots of arts and crafts, circle time, play time and there are lots of Birthday Parties too!

I've been doing fun things at home too! Yesterday we spent all day at our new pool! I had so much fun. The water is pretty cold still, but i enjoyed playing with my toys and just being in the pool and enjoying the fabulous weather!

My Mom and Dad are doing really good too! My Dad has been working lots, but hasn't had to be gone all that much, we love when he is home! My Mom has been working from home full time since January and this is her last week of work and she is VERY excited and so am I! We are going to spend lots of Mommy and Reese time together before my little brother gets here. And Daddy is off of work for half of May as well - so we are going to have lots of fun family time.

So my Little Brother! Yeah! He is due May 28th! I'm really excited for him to get here. I've been practicing with my baby dolls alot. I feed them, bath them, change their diapers and put them to sleep. I know I am going to be a great big sister!

I'm Officially 2!

Hi! Well I had my Birthday on the 19th and it was soooo much fun! I had lots of friends at my preschool who celebrated with me! We made Elmo Cookies, ate Elmo cake, danced and opened presents. I got SOO many fun toys. I sure do have great friends!
Then on the Saturday after my birthday we had my family birthday party! It was fun too! My Nana, Papa, Aunt Jenny, Grandma, Grandpa, Great Aunt Jenny and Uncle Jack, Great Aunt Jane and Uncle Bill, my mom's friend Michelle and of course Mom and Dad were all at my party! We all talked and played and ate cake and ice cream! I just LOVE ice cream! This shouldn't surprise anyone considering how much I love milk. =) I got MORE presents at this party - I'm such a lucky girl!
I had my 2 year dr appt and I did NOT like it at all. I screamed when they put me on the scale, measured my height and my head. Even when the DR looked in my ears, eyes and mouth I was not a happy camper. And the shot - that was the LEAST fun. But i did get a sucker out of the deal, so I guess its ok. Here are my stats! I weigh 25lbs and I'm 35" tall. I'm tall and thin for my age. The doctor didn't seem to mind at all. He said he was happy to see a thin child! haha - so I'm all healthy and good!

I continue to talk lots and lots. I'm doing soo good with sentences and counting and shapes and letters too. I've started to say I want "TWO" blankets or "TWO" cookies. One just doesn't cut it anymore. I also talk about myself in the third person a lot. I say, "This is Reesie's Blanket". I also like to tell Mommy and Daddy what is theres and what is mine. "Mommy's Phone", "Daddy's Shoes" and things like that!

We put up our Christmas Tree this last weekend and it was fun! I loved helping Mommy with the ornaments and the lights. I keep telling her the tree is "Pretty". I can't wait for Christmas and for Santa to come! I don't even know what he is going to bring me since I got so much great stuff for my birthday already!!!

Wow, it has been SO long, I can't believe it. I'm so sorry! I'm doing very good these days - I'll be celebrating my 2nd birthday next week! I'm talking a ton and putting 4 and 5 words together in sentences. I love to play outside and at the park, I love to color, I love to ride my bikes and lots of fun stuff like that. I also enjoy "Jumping" every chance I get - like out of the car, off of curbs, off of the couch (this alarms my parents a bit) and even off and on Duke!

Next week is my birthday and I'm having it at my Pre-School. It should be really fun. It's going to be an Elmo/Sesame Street Theme! I absolutely love Elmo and love watching sesame street! I have an Elmo doll that I carry around everywhere, he comes in my highchair with me, he comes in the car with me and he sleeps with me at night too! When we're in my highchair i feed him eggs and other food too!

I got my first haircut a couple days ago! I had my bangs cut and some cut off the back too. My hair is so thin and fine! The trim in the back makes it look a little thicker than it did. And I enjoy being able to see without my bangs in my face.

I'm sure there are so many things to tell you guys, so I'll post more as I think of them. Here are some pictures!!!

19 Months!

Hi Friends (and family members!):
I'll be 19 months old in just a few days. My parents can hardly believe it! I'm doing really good. Its been kind of cool lately (mid 70's) - and yes, that is cool for CA. =) But before that, it was really hot so my Mom took me to the pool a few times! Our clubhouse has a kid pool that starts at 6 inches and goes to 2 feet. The first visit I saw the pool and immediately started to cry. It was SO big! I held on to my mom for dear life. Then we got into the shallow end and my mom sat down in the pool. I was still clutching to her very very tight. She gave me some toys and still on her lap, I started to play with them. I was thinking to myself - this is kind of like the bathtub! Then one of the toys got away from me and I let go of my Mom and was sitting in the pool on my own little butt. From there on out I got more and more comfortable in the water. By the end of the day I was walking everywhere, in the deep end with my floaty, splashing and having a great time! My friend Hailey was with me too. We just had so much fun! I haven't started swim lessons yet, but maybe this summer my mom will put me in some.

I'm talking more and more these days. I can tell you what 9 different animals say, I can sing the ABC song even better now! I don't really pronounce the letters past C or D, but I'm doing good. My Mom is teaching me to count with my fingers, so we count to five and hold up a new finger with every number. We also count the stairs as I walk up and down them. I'll be counting to 10 in no time! My mom and dad thinks its pretty cool how I can understand and do almost everything they tell me to do like, Shut the door, let duke in, lay down so we can change your diaper, Sit down so we can put your shoes on, Time to eat, etc,etc. Once I can figure out how to make all the right sounds, I'll be talking up a storm!

Oh, I also drink out of big girl cup 90% of the time, I went potty on the toilet one time ( not on purpose though), I can jump when my mom and dad tell me to. I don't really get much air (if any) but I sure like to jump!

I recently took a trip to Santana Row in San Jose to visit our friends Mike and Marlena and my buddy Madison who is 5 months old. We had a great time. All I wanted to to do the whole time was get into the baby swing and the exersaucer!

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to give you an update! I'm doing really good! Tomorrow I turn 18 months old - 1 1/2 years!! I'm getting so big! Some of the new things I do are telling my Mom and Dad what the Cow, Duck, Lion and Horse say. I also know where my ears, nose, mouth and eyes are. I'm starting to sing the alphabet - I don't pronounce the letters very well, but I for sure have the tune of the song down! I'm learning!

I went swimming yesterday! It really was the first time I've been in a pool since I was a little baby. At first I was pretty scared and clung to my mom, but after a little while I was loving it! I even went in the deep end (of the kiddie pool - 2 ft) with my blow up disney ring. I just floated around, twirled and had a blast! And even with my fair skin and the 100 degree sun, the SPF 85 sunblock did its job! I didn't get burned at ALL!

Let's see... I spent 12 days with my Grandma and Grandpa when my Mom and Dad went on their trip to Italy and France! They had a really good time and so did I! I painted, went to the park, read books and all sorts of other fun things.

Our chickens are doing really good too, I still love to feed them and play with them. When my Mom lets them into the yard, I like to chase them around. Also, sometimes if I stick my finger out at them they peck me - crazy chickens. But most of the time I'm faster than them and when they miss my finger - I laugh at them.

Easter!

Hey Everyone!
I hope you had a great Easter! I had a lot of fun. I had 4 easter egg hunts!!! One at each of my daycares, one at home and one at my Nana's house! I did a good job of finding the eggs! The easter bunny put gold fish and cheerios in them! How did he know that I love those 2 things?! We had a brunch at my Nana's house and my Great Aunt Jenny and Great Uncle Jack were there too.
I loved playing outside! My Nana had my little table set up outside and the playhouse too! We are not sure what Duke (he came too) was thinking b/c all of a sudden he peed all over my little kid chair!!! Just lifted his leg and let loose! Crazy dog.

There is lots coming up! My Mom and Dad are going to Europe on a vacation. I know they are very excited. I'm excited to stay with my Nana and my Grandma and Grandpa. The weather is getting so nice so I'm sure there will be lots of trips to the park!!

I went to the park the other day by my Grandma and Grandpa's house, it was fun! I figured out how to go down the slide all by myself on my tummy!! I did it over and over and over!!! I also LOVE to swing! My mom is trying to convince my dad to let me get a playset for the backyard! I really hope he says yes!

Hey Guys!

I went to San Diego this last weekend, it was a lot of fun. I went with my Mom, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa McPherson. We stayed in Carlsbad at a time share. The weather was great! 70 and sunny. We did lots of cool stuff. We went to the ocean one day, we went to the San Diego Zoo one day and we just hung out a lot of the time. Thank you again Grandma and Grandpa for letting us join you. We all had such a great time. We hope to go again one of these years. ;-) Here are some pictures!

Sorry its been so long.
I'm doing really really good! I'm walking and running everywhere now. It is so much more fun! I can chase Duke around the house, get chased around the house by Duke and my Mommy and Daddy. I LOVE to be chased.. they say, "I'm going to get you.....".. i run and laugh the whole time.

Gosh.. seems like there is so much to tell you! I started a new school 2 days a week. Its by my moms work and its called the "Goddard School". I'm in a class room that has kids my age and we do really fun activities all day long! EVeryday there are 8 subjects we practice in like... Language Arts, Cognitive Development, Self Help Skills, etc. We do things like, Puzzles, we learn animal sounds, we learn Yoga poses, we color and glue stuff for art, we get to go outside 2 times a day for 30-45 minutes! Its really fun.

My Mom and Dad went to Mexico for 5 days in January and I got to stay with my Nana and Aunt Jenny! I had a really fun time. I am so thankful that they watched me so my parents could go on a vacation. ;-) I know they had a great time. Thank You Nana!!

My hair finally fits in pig tails!! My mom thinks its the cutest thing ever! Some of the pictures I'll put up have me in pigtails. But the pics are from my moms iphone so they are not super duper clear. But you'll see.

Lets see... what else. OH - my grandma and grandpa came and played with me on Friday night so that my Mom could go out with her girl friends. I guess she had a really good time! She hasn't had a girls night since she can remember! It was so fun to see my G&G. We are going to San Diego next week to spend a few days with them in their time share! It should be a good time. It will be the first time I've been to the ocean.. well I did go to Cancun when I was 3 months old, but I didn't do much playing in the sand then. ;-)

I'm starting to talk a LITTLE bit.. I still don't know that many words. But I do say "Aww Done" when I'm doing eating. I just learned how to say, "No".. I usually am telling Duke "No". I still say "DA DA" all the time.. not saying mama that much. I know she wishes I did. Those are my newest words. I almost forgot.. i'm learning how to do the itsy bitsy spider. My Mom sings it to me and does the hand part to it too. I sing it in my own way and try do to the hand things too. Its really fun!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey Everyone! Sorry its been so long since my last post. I've been busy WALKING all over the place. Thats right, I'm officially walking now. I'm getting really good at it too! I started just a few days before Christmas and by the end of the week, I had it down! Don't get me wrong, I still plop on my butt from time to time, but thats ok. I also have learned to push myself on my new bikes. I got this really fun Princess car from my Nana that I love. You should have seen me outside the other day. I had my raiders jersey on, my USC beanie and I was cruising faster than you can imagine on my bike. I put my right foot down lower and use it to push push push! My mom was literally running after me! It was the best time I think I've ever had outside! I took a long nap after that excursion. I was pooped!

Our Christmas was great. We had my Great Aunt and Uncle from Denver staying with us and my 2nd cousin Joanna. It was fun to get to see them and spend some time with them! We had my Mom's side of the family over on Christmas Eve. It was a great time.
Then on Christmas Day we had my Dad's side of the family over. Fun Times!

I got lots of great stuff for christmas. To name a few items.... the Princess Car, a cabbage patch doll for the bath tub, noah's ark little people, a toy camera!, a pretty zip up sweater, a disney princess kid table and 2 chairs, lots of other clothes, a milk bottle bowling set, legos... as you can see - lots of stuff! Santa and my family were really good to me!

Hey Everyone!

Hope you are doing good! Things are great here. I'm doing really good. I went to the doctor last week and I weigh 19lbs 15oz. (prob 20lbs by now!). I'm 30 inches tall too! So I'm in the 75% for height and 27% for weight. So I'm thin and tall. Thats ok though, right? ;-) I'm still not walking on my own. I mean, I can stand up all by myself without holding on to anything and then take a couple steps, but its seems pointless. I'm SO fast with my crawing and bear walking ( on hands and feet) that I'm thinking who wants to walk? But my Mom and Dad keep making me practice. So I suppose one of these days I'll get it down. I also had my pictures taken recently at the Picture people! It was fun. They got some good shots of me. My mom will post some after she scans them in. I'm smiling a lot and I love to play on the couch. Everynight after bath when I'm in my pj's my Mom and Dad and I get on the couch and I crawl back and forth while they try to get me. I laugh and laugh and laugh. It is so fun. I love to throw myself back on the pillows too! I've even learned how to get down from the couch by myself. But I've only done that a couple of times.
I'm still having lots of fun playing with all my new toys from my birthday. My mom packed all my "baby" toys away and I'm on to the big girl toys!

My MOm and Dad are good! My mom ran a marathon on Sunday! It was 26.2 miles from Folsom CA to the California state capitol. SHe did really good and met her time goal! She ran in honor of all the military men in her life like Daddy and Uncle David. She also ran in memory of her Grandpa (my great-grandpa that I never got to meet) who was a pearl harbor survivor. The race was on the 67th anniversary of the pearl harbor bombing.

My Dad is good too. He's home for the month of December, so we are so happy! Both my Mom and Dad are off of work for 2 weeks at the end of this month! YEah!!! Lots of family time, I can't wait!

My Birthday!

Hey Everyone! It was my first birthday yesterday! My parents threw me the party on Sunday though, and it was a blast! Tons of decorations, chickens, lots of people - LOTS OF CHILI - , lots of cake and lots of presents. I had a really good time. I played with the pinata, I didn't quite get the stick part, but I liked to touch it with my hands! I also played a game where there was a wagon with hay in it and all the animals were lost in the hay! So me and my friends had to find them. It was really fun. I enjoyed my first cupcake too! It has GREEN frosting on it, so I got it all over me too. But I guess that's the point. All in all i had a good time. I got lots of presents too. Thank you everyone for coming! I guess next year my Mom said my birthday party is going to be very small.:-) Here are a bunch of pictures from the party!

Fun Times

Hey Everyone! Sorry I haven't wrote in awhile, I was SICK! Yes, I had Roseola. I had a high fever for about 3 and a half days and then I felt better on Halloween, but then Saturday morning I woke up with a rash all over my body. It was not fun. We were supposed to go to Denver to celebrate my Great Grandpa's 90th birthday, but we couldn't go b/c I got sick. Boo Hoo. But it sounds like the Birthday celebration was a lot of fun. So Happy 90th Birthday Great Grandpa Leland!! He's coming to visit me and my new cousin and Christmas time, so I 'm so thankful that.

Even though I was a little sick, I put on my Chicken costume and went out trick of treating. I don't have those pictures with me right now, so I'll try to post later. I'll tell my Mom to get on it!

OK.. so I've taken a few steps. Yesterday, I took 3 steps from the couch to my Daddy. My Mom missed it!! But my Grandpa and Aunt Jenny were watching, so they saw it too! So I'm going to try to master this walking thing and get cruising around the house here soon. I've gotten SO good at crawling that I think its time to move on to a new skill.

I've definitely started to share my personality with my Mom and Dad. When I want something, I do this scream/squeal thing that I thought would get them to give me whatever I want. But I think they've caught on and I don't think they enjoy this new noise I like to make. I'm going to keep trying though. I also really like to do things myself. If I'm trying to figure out how a toy works and my Mom tries to show me, I do that squeal/scream thing. I don't like anyone touching what I have in my hands. But then I've always been kinda funny about people touching my hands too.

So my big day is coming up. I turn 1 year old in 9 days!! Man, time sure does fly!

Happy Fall!!

So I would say Fall is here, wouldn't you? I see the trees starting to turn colors. I see Pumpkins, hay, scarescrows and all sorts of fun things. The weather on the other hand is still pretty warm here in Rocklin, CA. We're still in the mid 80's everyday! I do like the warm weather though so I don't have to be all bundled up!

My Mom and her friend Row and a couple of other neighbors made some scarecrows!! We have two on our front porch. One is my Daddy and one is Hailey's (my friend next door) daddy. We still need to give Mr. Larry a face. Our front porch is sure becoming festive!!

I'm doing really good! I'm walking all over the place with the assistance of my walking toy, chairs, barstools or anything that I can push! I bet I'll be on my own before you know it! Don't worry, you'll hear about it as soon as it happens!

I have my friend Gavin's first birthday party tomorrow! We all are supposed to dress up in our halloween costumes! I can't wait to wear my Chicken costume! Then on Sunday we are going to our neighbors Pumpkin Carving Party! So more Halloween fun!
Oh - also, my Mom is running a half marathon on Sunday morning!!! So I'm excited to go watch her.

We are going to Denver next week for 4 days to help my Great-Grandpa celebrate his 90th Birthday! Can you believe it?! I'm excited to see everyone in Denver again. We're hoping to see some snow! That would be so cool! I better dress warm.

Hey Everyone! BIG NEWS. My Aunt Heather and Uncle Kevin had my new cousin Kaitlyn Ashley last tuesday night! She weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 20 inches long! Both my Aunt and my new Cousin are doing great!!! We got to go to hospital soon after she was born and then we also went to San Francisco yesterday to see her again! What a trip we had. My parents knew it was fleet week in SF and that it was busy, so they left a little later to miss the traffic. What they DIDN'T know was that there was a 49er game! So it took us 3.5 hours to get there (instead of a little less than 2). I was not a happy camper in the car towards the end, but we survived. When we got to Aunt Heathers house and it was SO much fun! My Grandma and Grandpa were there too and there was SO many new things all around for me to get into! I played so hard that I slept the entire way home. It was really fun to see my new cousin again, I can't wait till she gets a little older and we can play!

I also went to my friend Josh's first birthday on Saturday. There were some fun toys and other kids to play with. I had a great time! I can't wait for my birthday!

I'm still not walking, but I'm getting really good at walking around the couch, along the cabinets and I can even stand by myself for a few seconds sometimes. I LOVE being in the kitchen. I open the drawers, the cabinets and I even turned on the dishwasher once!

I'm learning some new things too. I'm learning the sounds that animals make. I can make the snake sound "SSSSSSSSSS", I can do the pig sound sort of too.. I can't really snort, but I make this loud breathing sound instead. I even try to sing, "Eyi, Eyi OHH"!

I'm going to post this now with only the pictures of me at the birthday party, but check back b/c tonight I'll put on the pictures of my new cousin!!!!

Getting Around

Hey Everyone!
Sorry its been so long since my last post. I've been BUSY exploring the house! Not only can I stand up, I can walk behind a couple of my push toys! I like to get into all sorts of stuff now. I pull cords, open cupboards, open drawers, try to shake everything I can stand up on - I know.. I have this thing with trying to move big things. Usually I can't so it looks like I'm just trying to shake it. ;-)

I FINALLY said MaMa. I don't say it very often but it does come out of my mouth sometimes. I also do this new thing where I say, "UH OH".. but I don't really say. i kinda grunt it. Hard to explain. You'll have to come over and hear how I say it if you want to.

Our chickens are doing really good, they are getting big! Probably at least 8 more weeks until they start laying eggs. I can't wait for that! Duke is great too. He is SO big. We took him to the vet about 2 weeks ago and he weighs 110 lbs!!! I know..he's huge! But he is so nice to me. I climb on him, pull on his ears, try to touch his eyeballs.. and he still loves me.

My Mom and Dad are doing really good. They started to exercise again. I don't know what that is, but it doesn't look very fun. When Mom goes to the gym I get to go to the daycare there, its pretty cool. Lots of toys. But I don't like it as much as I like Pam's House. My Mom has been running a lot and sometimes she brings me in the jogger stroller. I like it b/c I can check out all the stuff outside - its a nice change of scenery.

Tomorrow Night my Nana and Aunt Jenny are coming over. Aunt Jenny is going to watch me while Mom, Dad and Nana go to the Journey Concert. They should have a great time!

Then on Saturday we are going up to Lake Tahoe to see my Grandma and Grandpa. They've been up there all week on vacation. Dad's going to go fishing and Mom, Grandma and I are going to hang out. I'm begging my Mom to flip my car seat around so I can watch Baby Einstein on the way, but she's a tough one to crack. So I'm pretty sure I'll still be facing backwards.

I can STAND UP now!

Hi Friends and Family:
So on Saturday my Mom put me in my crib while she was doing some work in my room and I surprised her by STANDING UP in my crib! I sure thought I was funny with all the giggling I was doing. My Mom was very surprised at my new trick! Then, when she took me out I was standing up on EVERYTHING. The couch, the chairs, my mom and even Duke! On Sunday, I think I forgot that I knew how to do it b/c I didn't Stand up one time. My mom suspects that my little legs might be sore from the squat like action of standing up and down all day. So perhaps today I will show off my new skill again.

We sure do miss Daddy. We can't wait to see him! I can't wait to show him my new trick.

We had a nice weekend. We hung out with some friends! I got to play with Rocco, Madison,Taylor, Hailey and Isabelle! It was a lot of fun. My new favorite thing to do is to push toys that are on wheels around the whole room. I put one hand on the toy and then use the other to push myself along as I crawl around. Madison and Hailey both have these baby strollers that are for dolls, that was my favorite to push around. I hope I get one for my Birthday! BTW.. can you believe i turn ONE in just about 2 months. The party sure is going to be fun!

September Already?

Hi Guys!

Just thought I'd say hi and let you know what's going on with us. Well first of all, I'm getting my 2nd tooth! I have the one on the bottom and now I'm getting a top tooth! I'm still crawling around like crazy, I'm getting really fast! I can still only pull myself up onto my knees, but I'm hoping to be on my feet soon!

My Mom's friends Cris and Justin came out over the holiday weekend too hang out. They had a lot of fun. Friday we had a BBQ, then on Saturday they went wine tasting in Amador County. I went to my Nana's house on Saturday morning and spent ALL day and all night! We had a great time.

I also went to the doctor on Friday for my 9 month check up. I weigh 18#3oz and am 28" long. I'm in the 30th percentile for weight and the 60th percentile for height! I didn't even have to get any shots this time!!

Oh.. I also wanted to tell you that I went over to my Great Aunt Jenny's last week to wish her a happy birthday! We even got a picture together!!!

Happy 3rd Anniversary

Hey Everyone!
So my Mom and Dad celebrated their 3rd Anniversary on Tuesday August 12th. My Grandma and Grandpa came over to hang out with me while my parents went to dinner. They said they had a great time! They each got iPhones for their gifts. I haven't been able to get my little hands on their new phones yet.... maybe soon!

So i've been crawling ALL over the place lately AND I can pull myself up onto my knees. I bet it won't be long until I figure out how to get up onto my feet!

Gosh, to be honest not much new has happened in the last couple of weeks. We've just been trying to keep cool, its been HOT here.

Here is an update on the chickens! They are doing REALLY good. They are now out in their coop and loving it. Its so fun to watch them run up and down their ladder, hang out on their perches and chase each other when we give them treats. Only a few more months and we'll be getting some eggs!!

I'm growing up

Hi Everyone! GUESS what happened on Saturday? TWO things --- Number 1 - My first tooth broke through. I mean you can barely see it, but my Mom can feel it with her finger. Finally I'm going to be able to chew some food! Number 2 - I crawled! I only did like 2 crawls, but I finally figured out how to move my hands and my knees to get somewhere! Now I just have to perfect this so I can get all over the house. I bet there are lots of fun things that I haven't been able to get my little hands on yet.

An update, the chickens are going great. They sure are getting really big fast. My Dad is making them a coop and it is almost done! Once everything is set up, we'll send some pictures!

So I don't know much else!

I Love To Swing!

Hey Everyone!

I hope you are doing good, I am great! I got to go to the park today with my Mom and my Nana and it was so much fun! I LOVE the swing. I giggled and smiled the whole time I was swinging, it was such a blast. I hope I get to do it again really soon. My Mom even took me down the slide, I wasn't too sure about that, maybe I'm too young for it still. It was such a beautiful day, not too hot at all! We walked to the park, it was such a great time, even Duke got to come with us. He loves to go on walks. It was so fun to spend the day with my Mom and My Nana - it was a girls day!

On Saturday My Mom and I went to Grandma and Grandpa McPhersons house. We had a great time. I played a lot and showed them how I can ALMOST crawl. I get on all 4's from a sitting position, but I don't let the foot go out from under me, because then I plop on my stomach and can't sit myself up! I bet within the next week or so I will amaze you with my crawling skills. I have to wait till my Daddy comes home though, I promised I wouldn't do it without him. So anyways, then G&G and mom and I went to Joes Crab Shack for dinner. WOW, what a crazy place. It was super loud with music and dancing. I didn't mind it too much, but after awhile, it was just too much for me!

I'm so lucky - I had such a fun weekend with my family!

On a sour note, I'm teething. I mean its about time right? I'm 8 months old (as of yesterday may I add) and NO teeth yet! I think I am going to be getting 2 tops and 2 bottoms all about the same time. I had a few rough days, but things have been much better since yesterday. So I hope these stupid teeth hurry up and get in!

My Dad is gone right now in Japan/Guam/Hawaii. We sure do miss him! But I'm hoping he gets home tomorrow night. It's been just Mom and Me. We are having a really good time, but its just not the same without him here with us.

AND, are you ready for this, my Mom is so crazy! She decided that she wanted to be more "self-sufficient" so we are planting a huge vegetable garden that we'll grow winter and spring veggies in AND we got 5 chickens! yes, you read it right, we got 5 chickens! My Dad is building us a chicken coop! Its almost done. So in about 4 months or so we'll be getting just about 4-5 eggs a day from our chickens! I'm really excited to go look for the eggs every morning when I get a little bit older. We got the Barred Plymouth Rock Breed. That is the breed that my Great Grandpa Heckman swears by... so I hope he is right! These lay brown eggs, but did you know that there are other breeds that lay COLORED eggs. Yes, green and blue eggs. How cool is that? I'm hoping that we can get some of those chickens one day!

Well, I better get to bed soon. I have my busy week ahead at daycare, gotta get lots of rest so I can PLAY PLAY PLAY!

Happy 4th of July!

Hey Everyone! I hope you had a great 4th of July! We had a good weekend. Friday we did a couple of things! First, we went to Lincoln to McBean park where they had a little petting zoo! I got to pet a baby lamb, baby sheep and baby pig! It was pretty fun, but the entire thing would have fit in our laundry room! Not quite what my Mom had envisioned. I guess we'll have to wait till the State Fair (or the Zoo) to see more animals. Then we went to our friend Brett and Jen's for a BBQ. We got to swim in the pool and it was really fun. I totally enjoy the water and I can't wait for my Daddy to give me swimming lessons. He was a competitive swimmer just about his whole life. And it was so funny because Duke and Maverick (Duke's Buddy) swam the WHOLE day too. They were pooped by the end of the day. Then, on Saturday, my Grandma and Grandpa came over and hung out with me during the day while my Mom and Dad had a lunch date! Then we BBQ'd dinner and set off some fireworks. This was my first time seeing fireworks. I'm not entirely sure I like them yet. There were a couple that whistled really loud and those made me cry, but the other pretty ones were OK.

I also want to thank all of those who serve or have served our country. I know I will enjoy the Freedom that they help provide in my many years to come. Two of my favorite men are serving right now - my Daddy and my Uncle David. I love you guys.

So Much To Tell You!

WOW, I have so much to tell you guys. I promise to write at least once a week now so that my news doesn't keep piling up! So the BIG news is that I went to Nebraska at the end of June for 5 days. I met SO many family members and had so much fun. I'll give you the day by day. First, Grandma McPherson, Daddy, Mom and I flew on Southwest to Arizona then to Omaha. We rented a car in Omaha to drive to Lincoln where most of our family lives. This is where Grandma and Grandpa McPherson were born and raised. We got there pretty late, so we just went to sleep. The next morning (Sunday) we woke up and I got all prettied up in my dress for Church. We went to Great Grandpa's place to finally say hello before we left for church. AND, Aunt Heather and Uncle Kevin were in Lincoln too (Aunt Heather is working in Omaha for awhile). So I went to church for the first time at Great Grandpa's church. This is the SAME church that my Grandma and Grandpa got married in! I did really good at church, there was an incident that I don't know if I dare tell you --- but I will. We were all standing up for singing and Mom turned me around so I could face forward and I accidently spit up all down the pew in front of us and on the seat in front of us. The lady was standing there and didn't know! Good thing Daddy quickly got a wipe and cleaned it all up. I don't think she ever knew what happened. :-) After church we went back to Great Grandpa's place and had lunch with everyone. I got to meet my 3rd cousin - Pat Birch. Then, Sunday night, we went over to my Great Aunt Carols house - this is the SAME house that my Grandpa McPherson grew up in!! I met so many people! Great Grandma McPherson, Great Aunt Carol and Jack, Great Aunt Mel and David, 2nd Cousins David, Alyssa and Melissa and her daughter Naomi. There were so many people... I can't even remember them all! Not only was it my first time meeting some of them, it was my Mom's first time meeting some of them too! We had so much fun. Thank You Great Aunt Carol for sharing your home with us! Can you believe that was just day 1!!
The next day Daddy, Mom, Grandma and Great Grandpa and I hopped in the car and we went to see the Heckman Farm! Yes, our family has a farm in it (and you'll soon hear, this is not the only one!). Great Grandpa Heckman owns the farm that his Granpda or Great Grandpa (can't remember) bought. It has been in his family for over 100 years! It grows corn and soybeans. We even saw some cows! Not on his farm, but on a different one. THEN, we went to Taco Johns for lunch. Most of you won't know what this is - BUT, it was my Mom's favorite taco place when she lived in Minnesota. She even WORKED at one when she was 16. Daddy, don't tease her! Then, after lunch, we drove out to the Kindig Farm - which is my Great Grandma McPherson's farm. It has been in her family for over 100 years too! Can you believe it, I have TWO farms in my family. I don't think any of my friends here in California can say that! The next day we were going to go to the ZOO but it was stormy and rainy. The night before there was lots of thunder and lightening! We spend most of the day playing Mexican Train dominos. If you don't know how to play, its pretty fun! Our last day we just hung out and visited. We left for Omaha early so that we could go meet my Great Great Aunt Louis and my Great Great Uncle Jud! We didn't get to stay long, but I sure am glad I got to meet them. My GG Uncle Jud likes to sing, it startled me a little at first, but I soon enjoyed it! It was a long flight home, but it was such a great trip. Thank You to everyone who made it so fun.

AND, yesterday guess what I did. I said DA-DA. I mean I said it perfect! And the cool thing is that both my Mom and my Dad were there to hear me. Sorry Mom, just because I didn't say MaMa first doesn't mean I don't love you! :-)

Getting Better?

Hey Everyone! So, we're not sure, but we don't think I had pink eye. I got super sick after that, bad cough, high fever and the whole nine yards. I had to go back to the doc yesterday because I just wasn't feeling better, even on the antibiotics. The doc looked in my ears and I have an ear infection now on top of everything else! So, I got a stronger medicine and hope to be getting back to normal soon! It sure sucks being sick.

But, I did go to Costco yesterday with my Mom and it was fun! I got to sit in the cart like a big girl and look around at everything! It was a nice break from the house since we've been quarantined for days!

Not much else is new as of now, I will write soon!

I have PINK EYE

Hey everyone, I have PINK EYE. Not sure where I got it, but I have it! ;-(

Even though I don't look very happy there, I really am. I still had a great day and smiled a lot!

On a lighter note I got to go to San Francisco for the first time ever a couple of weekends ago! It was fun! We got to stay in a really fun hotel - the Westin St. Francis at Union Square. I even got a hotel crib! My Uncle Kevin turns 40 in June, so my Aunt Heather planned a whole birthday weekend celebration for him. We went to Aunt Heather and Uncle Kevin's place (may I add that the view is AMAZING), walked around Union Square, went to the Buena Vista for Irish Coffee's at Ghiradelli, and other fun stuff too.

I had my 6 month appointment last week. I weigh a smashing 16 lbs even and am 26 inches long. I'm basically in the 50th percentile.

I'm eating lots of food these days, here I'm eating Peas and Rice!

Also, the other day, I sat outside on our lawn and watched my Dad work on our raised deck. I had such a good time, I just played with my toys. Duke even came and played with me too! I'm really starting to love him alot!

Bath Time in the SINK

I know, can you believe it, 2 posts in 2 days?!

So my Mom gave me a bath in the sink tonight! It was the first time she has done this and I have to say it is WAY more fun than in that stupid baby sling thing. I had so much fun sitting up (all by myself may I add), playing with the running water and just splashing around. My favorite thing to do was to put my hand under the running water and trying to get it to run only on my thumb. My Mom was cracking up at me, and then of course that makes me laugh too! We had so much fun, I can tell you we are for sure going to do this every night no matter what! So my Mom is totally a new Mom b/c about a week ago her neighbor asked if I was sitting up much and my Mom was like, "I don't know, we haven't really tried all that much yet". Well that started it, my Mom has been sitting me up EVERYDAY and for a long time. I love it and I am SO good at it. Sometimes I flop over, but I don't care.

Ok, so I posted some of my bath pictures but you have to promise not to laugh at me. I normally don't post nude pics of myself.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hey Everyone! Today is Mother's Day! It was my Mom's first. It was actually a 3 day event for her! My Dad had to leave early on Saturday morning for a trip to the "sand box", so we got to celebrate on Thursday. Dad and I got her a Roomba and a huge picture of me framed, she loved both of them! Then, yesterday, Mom and I went over to Grandma and Grandpa McPherson's for the day. We had a great time hanging out. I have recently started to REALLY jump in my jumparoo. I love it! It sure makes everyone laugh when I start jumping. So needless to say, we had a lot of fun. Then, today, we went over to Nana's house for the whole day. We had a good time. We went on TWO walks in the stroller. I am finally getting big enough where I can sit up and check everything out as we walk. I got to see lots of big trees and pretty colorful flowers. I'm so glad I'm getting bigger! I got to see my Great Aunt Jenny and my Aunt Jenny too. We had a great day.

My Dad recently turned 30!! I don't think he was excited about this, but I guess it was his turn since my Mom turned 30 in December. Daddy's friends Brian Lohrke and Brian Vizzone flew in from out of town to surprise him. It was a fun time. Dad was glad to see his buddies.

I have started SITTING UP! I'm not a pro at it by any means, but I can do it! I like being able to grab all my toys rather than laying on my back or stomach. I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before I get better at it. (which means I don't topple over).

I am getting so big. I have my 6 month appointment in a couple of weeks, so we will get to find out exactly how much I weigh. My Mom thinks I'm around 17 or so pounds, but we'll see. I will let you guys know once we find out.

I started eating some big girl foods too! I've had some rice cereal, oatmeal, prunes, sweet potatoes and apples! I've only had a little bit of each, but I enjoy it all so far!

Just so you know, the picture of me in the highchair is special because this highchair is exactly the same as the one that my Nana had when she was a baby. And my Mom used to be in it too! My Mom found this for my Nana as her Mother's Day gift. She was SO excited!

To all the mothers out there, "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!"

My Trip To Ft Benning Georgia

Hey Everyone! Its been awhile since i've posted! Things are going really good with me! I will be 5 months old tomorrow, can you believe it? I'm just starting on rice cereal again, I've had it before but not everyday. And I guess once I've had the rice cereal for about a week I get to try a vegetable. I haven't heard much about these vegetable things but I sure hope I like them!

I wanted to tell you about the trip we took about 2 weeks ago. We went all the way to Georgia to see my Uncle David graduate from RIP (Ranger Indoctrination Process). He spent 4 grueling weeks proving he wants to be an Army Ranger. Only about 50% of the class made it and of course he was one of them. I traveled for about a total of 15 hours on the way there and I was an angel the whole day! I got this traveling thing down! ;-) We had a lot of fun with my Uncle David. After the graduation ceremony we went out to lunch at Hooters!! What a funny place! Then we just hung out, had fun, talked and stuff like that. Oh, and now David is stationed at Ft Lewis in Washington State with the 2nd Ranger Battalion.

We left on early Sunday morning and flew to Denver where we had a 12 hour layover! It was so cool because my Great Aunt and Uncle and some of my Dad's cousins live there. So we rented a car and went to their houses! I had so much fun meeting everyone! We really liked Denver and my Mom and Dad said they want to go back and visit again - but for longer next time!

Tomorrow is a very big day for all of us. My Mom and Dad are going to San Jose to visit their friends and I'm going to Grandma and Grandpa's to stay the WHOLE night. This will be my first overnight away from my parents! I can't wait. It will be so much fun to spend a whole 24 hours with Grandma and Grandpa!

I will make sure to let you guys know how the night went!

14lbs and 3 oz

Hi Everyone!

I went to the Doctor last Thursday and Friday. Thursday I saw my orthopedic specialist and my hip is all better! I don't have to wear the stupid brace anymore! For those of you who didn't know, my hip was dislocated when I was born so I had to wear this brace for 3 months, but I am done now! Then, on Friday, I went for my 4 month checkup. I weighed in at 14 lbs and 3 oz and 24.5 inches tall. I'm in the 75th percentile still! I also had to get 4, yes FOUR shots. They sure didn't feel very good, but I only cried for a few seconds. I sure am glad those are over.

Daycare is going really good these days. I really like Pam and Corryne. They take good care of me while my Mom is at work. I'm still drinking the bottle with no problems! Sure glad we got that figured out. The doctor told my Mom she could give me some rice cereal! So, I tried it, it wasn't too bad. The first time I made some pretty funny faces, but last night when I had some, I just kept eating it! I've decided the last couple of weeks that I want to get up in the middle of the night again and eat. For some reason I just wake up and I'm hungry! My mom isn't too thrilled with this new plan of mine, but she is dealing with it. Sorry Mom! I think she is trying to feed me more so I sleep all night again, we'll see if it works!

Oh.. I got a new toy to play with - it's my Exersaucer! It was a pain for my mom to put together, but I sure do love it. In just a week I have figured out who to play with the toys, turn myself around and all that fun stuff. It is SO fun. We still have my jumparoo in the garage too, I sure hope my Mom puts that together soon!

OH OH OH, I almost forgot to tell you! My mom and I were up in my room the other day and she laid me on my tummy on my blanket ( on the floor of course). While my Mom was hanging clothes up in my closet, I did the craziest thing, I flipped over onto my back! It sure scared the heck out of me, I let my Mom know what I did because I was crying. She turned around and was laughing because I had done this thing called "roll over". She didn't even get to see it! I haven't done it again for her yet, it scared me the first time. I suppose I will show her one of these days.

Not much else is new. I love to play with my Daddy all the time, he sure does know how to make me smile. I love to play with my toys and all around I couldn't be happier! I love you guys!!

Hi Everyone!

My Great Aunt Jenny came over a couple of days ago and took some Easter pictures of me! We had such a great time.. my Mom and Great Aunt were laughing like crazy... I guess it was because I'm so darn cute!

And, guess what???!!!!! I love to take the bottle now!! All it took was a different position, i didn't want to lay in your arms to drink my bottle, I want to sit up on your lap! So that was the trick, just sit me on your lap facing outward and I will drink that whole bottle full of milk! So needless to say my 2nd week of daycare is going WAY better than my first week.'

My Daddy has been gone for almost a week now! He is in Australia for work.. lucky guy! But not as lucky as Mommy who gets to spend lots of time with me!!!

Not much else is new with me.. I will make sure to keep you updated on anything new and exciting!

Catching You Up

Hi Everyone!! Sorry it has been so long since I have wrote last. We have been busy! A few weeks ago I traveled internationally for the first time! I went to Cancun, Mexico! It was an interesting trip! :-) For starters, I did pretty good on the flights ( there were 2 each way and they were long!). I did let everyone around me know how unhappy and hot I was when we got stuck on the runway for 20 minutes, my parents were frantically trying to calm me down, but I wasn't having it. But once we got into the air, I was better. The two flights home didn't go much better, I guess I'm just not a fan of flying yet! On the second day of our trip I came down with a nasty cough, my Mom and Dad were really worried about me and especially since we were in MEXICO! They ended up taking me to the DR at the resort we stayed at and they gave me some medicine. Of course then my Mom had to call back to the US to make sure it was ok for me to take it.... so with 2 more trips back to the doctor, lots of coughing and a stressed out Mommy, the trip was interesting. But, even though I was sick, I was a trooper! I hung out in the stroller a lot, I loved being pushed around! I got to go in the Pool 2 times, I liked it! I got to wear 3 different bathing suits and tons of cute outfits! The weather was nice and warm and sunny everyday! I know my Mom didn't get as much sun as she had wanted because I would wake up just as she finished getting her sunblock on and had got into her chair. Sorry Mommy! I think I heard my parents saying that they wouldn't take a 3 month old on an international trip again. But I know they had a good time.

The other big news is that my Mom started work again! She started yesterday. So I got to go to daycare with Pam! My Mommy had a pretty hard time dropping me off, she was crying! I was like, "Mom, what's the big deal, I'll see you in a few hours." But I guess she was sad to leave me, I am pretty cute so I guess I can't blame her. I did pretty good my first day. I don't like to take that stupid bottle thing, so Pam had to feed me some of my food with an eye dropper!! But, I'm sure I will get used to the bottle soon.
Daycare must have worn me out because I went to bed at 7pm last night and slept till 7am today! My Mom did much better dropping me off this morning, no tears.
I promise that I will have my Mom post some pictures when she gets home tonight. If we can fit it in around American Idol!

Hey Everyone!
Just wanted to check in and let you know that I am doing really good! I am 12 weeks old as of yesterday.... I'm sure getting up there in age! About 1.5 weeks ago I amazed my Mom and Dad and slept for 8 hours!! I guess my Mom woke up a few times worried that I hadn't woke up yet! So the good news is that I have been sleeping through the night AND IN MY CRIB! For awhile there I only wanted to only be in the swing or my parent's bed, but not anymore. Apparently everyone keeps telling my Mom how lucky she is since I'm not even 3 months old yet. I'm trying my best to make life easy for her. (cause I love her so much!!!)

My Mom starts work in 3 weeks... she is anxious to get in the groove of things again but not excited to leave me. She is VERY fortunate though because she is going to get to work from home a couple of days a week. So that means I only have to go to daycare 2 or 3 days per week.. I think i can handle that. :-)

I go to the doctor tomorrow to get one shot, they didn't have it available when I got my shots 3 weeks ago, so I have to endure one more prick! I'm anxious to see how much I weigh...

The weather has been wonderful here in CA. It hit 70 degrees today! And it has been in the mid to upper 60's the last few days. My parents have been working like crazy in the front and back yard. And, with the weather being so nice, my Mom has been hauling me around in the baby bjorn! So I've been able to get outside too!

My Week

I got to meet my Great-Grandma on my Mom's side last weekend!! My Mom, Nana and I drove all the way to Redding! It was about a 3 hour drive and I slept the whole way there AND the whole way back! I sure like to sleep in the car! We had a really good time. We hung out at my Great Gram's house and then we went to Lunch at Applebee's.

I got my shots last Monday, it wasn't very fun at all. I got 2 shots in EACH leg! Then as if that wasn't bad enough, I had to have my blood drawn from my heel for a jaundice test. That put me over the edge! My Mom gave me lots of tylenol that day and I slept away the pain. It took me a couple of days to fully recoop, so I'm back to normal now! :-)

We had a good time this weekend too! I got to spend a few hours on Friday night with My Nana so Mom and Dad could go out to dinner with their friends Natalie and Joey. They had a really good time. I also had a lot of fun with Nana. I can't wait for her to watch me again!!

Saturday we got to have lunch with Grandma and Grandpa McPherson and Aunt Heather and Uncle Kevin. I'm hoping to get to Grandma and Grandpas this week so I can hang out with them again, it's been awhile!

I sure don't know much else! I'm doing really good! I weigh in at a whopping 12lbs2oz! I have moved up to the 75th percentile for my weight! Mommy is feeding me good. :-)

Hi Everyone. Hope you had a great New Years, we sure did. Our friends Natalie, Joey and their son, Rocco, who is 7 weeks older than me, came over. They had dinner and a couple of drinks. When my Mom has a couple of drinks I have to take a bottle and I'm still not so sure if I like it so much. I have no problem taking one bottle, but when I have to have a bottle for 2 feedings in a row, I'm not too happy. But we're figuring it out!

I'm doing really good though. I smile ALL THE TIME for my Mom and Dad, and they LOVE it. Our favorite time of the day is the morning when we just wake up. We lay in bed and smile and laugh for at least 30 minutes! My mom said that is one of the times she is going to miss the most when she has to go back to work. All she has to do is get up 30 minutes earlier and we can still do it, not sure if that will happen! :-) The good news is that my Mom still has 7 weeks off, so we have plenty of time for our morning routine!

I've been sleeping for a little bit longer times now. I usually get at least a 4 or 5 hour chunk of sleep in the evening or night. I know my parents REALLY like that. I'm not really on a schedule yet, so that chunk isn't always at the same time, but we're just glad that I'm able to sleep for longer now! I enjoy sleeping in my swing, that is where I sleep the longest. What is going to happen when I grow out of it?

I'm not sure how much I weigh right now, I was at just under 10lbs over 2 weeks ago, I know I'm at least a pound or two heavier than that. Everyone keeps commenting on how round my cheeks are!

I know I haven't mentioned bath time before, that is because until the last week, I HATED IT! I screamed the whole time. But now, my parents have started to do it in their bathroom where i can look in the mirror and I really like that. So now bath time is going to be more enjoyable for all of us! I'll tell my Mom to take some pictures of my next bath so I can show you.

Merry Christmas (1 day late!)

Hi Everyone!!

Sorry it has been so long since my last post... it's all my Mom's fault. She is the one that has to type, so you have to yell at her.

Things have been going really good! I'm adjusting to life very good, I'm a very happy baby. Just recently I started to look at myself in my mirror and man does it make me laugh and smile! My Mom and Dad love to watch me squeal and smile at my toys!

We had a great Christmas! Sunday night my Nanna, Uncle David and Auntie Jenny came over for dinner and presents. They sure spoiled me! Then on Christmas Eve we went to Great Aunt Jenny's and I slept the whole time!! My Dad and Mom took turns carrying me around in the baby bjorn and I snoozed the whole time! I finally woke up at the end of the evening but everyone had left!

Then yesterday (Christmas Day), we went to Grandma and Grandpa McPherson's. We had a great time. I got to meet my Great Grandpa Heckman for the first time! He flew all the way from Nebraska just to meet me!! He held me and I smiled at him lots!

I went to the Dr a couple of weeks ago and I was almost 10 lbs! I bet I'm a little more than 10 lbs now! My Mom is feeding me good!

What did my parents make me do? I can tell you I sure didn't like taking this because I had to get naked and
I don't like that very much!! But they insisted that I show you this one!!

I'm 3 weeks old tomorrow.. i'm doing really good!! I went to the DR on Friday and I weigh 8.5 lbs now!! I gained a whole 1.5 lbs in 2 weeks! Guess my Mommy is feeding me good! All of my other measurements came right in at the 50th percentile... so I guess I'm right on track!

I've been sleeping pretty good at night, some nights better than others. Some nights I'll sleep for 4 hours w/o waking up and other nights I'll wake up every 2 hours.... but I guess I"m just getting it all figured out! One good thing is that I've figured out my days from nights, so I know my mom is happy about that!

You know what else is cool? My mom finally has taken me out and about! We went to Quizzno's for lunch the other day, we went to Old Navy and a couple other stores too! So we're getting out and about more and we are REALLY liking that alot more. We don't feel so cooped up in the house.

We are still waiting for Daddy to get home. He was supposed to be home on Friday but now its looking more like Tuesday or Wednesday. I sure do miss him! I bet he's barely going to recognize me!

Well, I'm going to head out now.. its just about time for me to eat and I sure don't miss a meal!!

December 7th was a very special day for my Great-Grandpa Schmidt. I didn't get to meet him but I've been told he was an amazing man. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. His ship was bombed that day, but luckily no one on the USS Raleigh was hurt.
It was so important to him that everyone remember Pearl Harbor and remember those who lost their lives. So today, please take a moment and Remember those who survived Pearl Harbor and those who did not.

Today was kind of sad for me and mom. My dad had to leave really early this morning on a trip to that big sandy place that no one wants to go to. But I know he'll be safe because he is a REALLY good pilot! Mom said he's gone before and came back just fine, so I'm going to trust her. The good news is that he'll only be gone for 6 days (that is the plan at least), so hopefully nothing happens to keep him longer. I mean come on, I've only gotten to know him for not even 2 weeks, so he needs to come home as soon as he can!! I know Mom and I will have a good time bonding, playing, eating, pooping and sleeping. Thats about all I do anyways right now. We miss you already Daddy and can't wait till you come home!!

My Uncle David comes home today!! He's been at boot camp for the last 3.5 months! I can't wait to meet him, hopefully on Monday!!

I'm doing really good in my 2nd week of life. I'm eating lots, sleeping lots, mostly during the day, but were all getting the hang of it!!!

Today was my check up and I'm doing great. But this new doctor of mine sure is SUSPECT! He was prying my eyelids appart to see my eyes, poking my belly, pulling at my belly button, and then he put his stethiscope on my chest and it was FRICKIN FREEEEZING! But don't worry, I sure let him know that he screwed up. I gave him an ear full of scream and didn't let up for a good 3 minutes! :) He ended up with the last word though because he made me give blood. It hurt alot and my mom couldn't stop crying because I was.

The good news is that the show will go on! I'm good and healthy. I have a nice "inney" belly button good ears, eyes and skin.

Day 4 of life... I'm pretty much FAMOUS!!

Day 4 of life and... I'm pretty much FAMOUS!! I don't know what it is that I do, or how I do it, but PEOPLE LOVE ME! It really doesn't matter if I'm smiling either. I can be moving around, making faces, pooping, peeing, or making any sound that I want and people still stare at me with huge smiles! Life is great!

So, I've come up with a routine that gets em' every time. First, when I start to wake up I make a few really innocent cute squeaks. I let those sink in a little bit and then usually my audience will gather around. After I hear enough people in attendance, I give em' the ol' one-eye. I open just one of my eyes a tiny bit and they all start smiling. Now that I have all the attention, IT'S SHOWTIME! I open my eyes, wiggle, smile, and talk. They all love it! The main act begins with a few head bobbles to show that I am about to lift up my head. Ladies and gentlemen please, DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! Let me just tell you how heavy this darn thing is. If my shows don't continue to draw an audience, rest assured that I will be able to find a second job in construction using my head as a wreaking ball! However, I digress. I like to start out on my strong side (right cheek) and use all of my back and neck muscles to execute a sort of whiplash motion backwards. I then turn my head really quickly (at least it feels quick) and let my head crash back down. With any luck, a successful maneuver will allow my head to fall back down on my left cheek to cushion the blow. Like I said before, this is NOT EASY!! But, with my special technique I do my best to make it look like it is.

I will say that my famous lifestyle can get tough though. Usually around the 30 minute mark I start to tire. Most of my fans don't like to put me down so I help convince them by loading up my diaper! That one always does the trick. Before you know it, I'm back with mom for a post-show snack, some clean drawers, and a warm blanket swaddle. I set my empty-belly-alarm for two hours and pull a David Copperfield disappearing act into sleepy land.

Hey Everyone!!

I finally joined the world on November 19th at 7:36am. I weigh 7 lbs exactly and am 20 inches long.
Here is the long story short:

My Mom had been sent home from the hospital TWO times... so last night at 1130 pm when she was in so much pain, my Dad said we're going back to the hospital. My mom didn't want to go b/c she feared she'd be sent home again. They ended up going, and were admitted FINALLY at about 215am!! Not long after that my Mom was all set up in her room, she got some pain relief which she was in dire need of (she doesn't know how my Grandma's did it w/o any meds!!). Within 4 hours my mom was dialated to 10, then she pushed me out in 45 minutes!!! I had the cord wrapped around my neck 2 times, but I was OK. They had to take me to the nursery to warm me up and get the circulation flowing in my body. But I'm doing just perfect now! I'm now part of your world, I'm happy and I can't wait to meet all of you!! My Mom will post pictures once she gets home.

Am I Coming?

Well, my mom started having contractions yesterday, she was VERY skeptical about it being the "Real Thing". But she thinks it is. She went to the hospital and they said she hadn't progressed nearly enough to be admitted, so they got sent home! My mom is just trying to stay comfortable, I know the contractions are hurting her, but does she realize what it feels like in here too??

So we're just waiting for the contractions to get closer together so that maybe she'll get admitted to the hospital sometime today. If not, my Mom goes to the DR tomorrow again and is hoping he might "help her along"....

Well, I still haven't been born yet! I'm due in less than a week, so I know I'll be joining all of your pretty soon. I can't wait!
My Mom went to the Dr yesterday and not much has changed... so they don't know when I plan on getting there. I know my Mom is really hoping it is before Thanksgiving week. My Dad went back to work this week, he is trying not to fly so that once my Mom gives him the call, he can race home. My Mom has been keeping busy too. She is cooking some meals and freezing them so that when I get there, she doesn't have to cook much. So if anyone has any good recipes for freezing, let her know! She is running out of ideas.

Napa Valley

My Mom and Dad went wine tasting in Napa Valley yesterday! Well, I guess Dad did most of the tasting, but Mom got a few sips. They had a great time!! They even bought a few bottles of wine from their new favorite Winery, Rombauer. I heard Mom telling Dad he had to wait to drink them until she could join him. :-)

Mom went to the Doctor today... and things are starting to progress a little bit, so maybe I'll be there sooner than later. I know Mom plans to continue to walk her 3 miles a day and she is also going to start eating more spicy food!

Dad's pre-ME Crisis

I think my Dad finally realized that I really am coming and he's going to be a father. So he bought a new car!! It's really nice. Both him and my mom really like it. AND, they had a carseat installed in the backseat, so I'll for sure fit in there! :-) I know he was tired of driving Mom's so he needed his own.

Not much new has been going on. My Mom and Dad have been walking Duke every night, like 3 miles. My Mom's doctor told her she can do whatever she wants now to make me come sooner! I know they are so excited to meet me so they are trying all sorts of silly things like spicy food, cleaning, mowing the lawn, and walking.

My brother Duke is anxious to meet me too. As you can tell by the picture, things must be pretty boring around the house right now, he is sleeping and relaxing a lot.

My Bedroom

Hi Everyone!

My Mom FINALLY took a couple pictures of my bedroom! You can see how cute my pink camo stuff is. And my Daddy made the valences for me, he is so handy.

My Baby Shower was on Sunday, it was really fun. Great Aunt Jenny and Nanna did a fabulous job! I got a lot of cool things! I can't wait to be able to use them. And I didn't get any more clothes! My Mom thinks I have enough, but I don't know. Check out the picture of my closet, these are only the 0-3 month clothes, I guess there are tons more for the other ages too. We're lucky to have friends who gave us so much stuff!

This week has been the first week off for Mom.. and I'm not sure if I told you, but Dad is on leave until the end of October too. So Mom and Dad are just hanging out. I can tell that they are almost bored. I keep thinking they better not get used to it, because I don't think they'll be bored when I get there.

During the next couple of weeks, I know my Mom and Dad have a few things planned. They want to take Duke to the ocean and stay the night, they want to go up to Lake Tahoe for a night or two, they want to go wine tasting (well my Dad will) up in Amador County and they might even plan on camping for a night somewhere. Sounds like fun times.

TWO EXCITING THINGS

Today is my Mom's last day of work!! She is really excited and can't wait to sleep in every day. She better enjoy it while she can because once I get there, she's not going to get to sleep much!!

And, the second cool thing is that my Dad finished his fireplace!! He hasn't put the rock finish on the outside yet, he's waiting till next spring to do all that. But, as you can see, it is fully functional and VERY COOL. My parents are looking forward to sitting out in the backyard and relaxing in front of the fire.

My Mom PROMISES to take pictures of my bedroom this weekend for you to see!

My Great Aunt Jenny and My Nanna Green are throwing my Mom her last baby shower on Sunday! I bet we are going to get some really cool things! I know my mom is really excited.

It's Sunday

Hi Everyone!
Today is Sunday and we've been doing really good the last week. My mom went to the Doctor again and everything is good. She doesn't even have to take the medication anymore. The Dr said that if I was born now, I'd be just fine - thank goodness! She only has one more week of work and then she is off for almost 5 weeks before I'm due. But I'm going to try to come early, I know they can't wait to meet me.

Also, this last week, we had to move out of our house for a couple of days. Our Builder had to re-grout all the tile in our entire house, it was a huge mess! And now, to top it all off, the tile company scratched so many of our tiles that we have to have the whole house retiled!!! I know my Mom and Dad aren't very happy. They don't want the house all torn up before I get there, or even after for quite awhile. So, I'll keep you posted on that too!

My bedroom is almost complete. My new bedding came and it is SO cute! I'm just waiting for my Mom to wash it so we can take some pictures to show you. I'll make sure she takes care of that in the next few days.

Well, I'm 34.5 weeks along, I'll be there REALLY soon!!!

The Doctor Says.....

My Mom went to the Doctor yesterday and it was good news. None of the tests that were taken indicate that I'm going to be born in the next 2 weeks at least. The Doctor says we will stay on the safe side so my Mom is going to keep taking the medication and take it easy. She'll be working her last 2 weeks from home. We are all very relieved! I can't wait to get there, but I want to make sure I can come home right away and not have to stay in the hospital. I'm 33 weeks now, it's almost time for me to join this world! I can't wait to meet all of you!

Hospital So Soon?

My mom had to go to the hospital last night and today because she is having contractions!! I was wondering what was going on in here, getting cramped all the time! The good news is that everything seems to be ok so far. Guess they just don't want me to join them yet, that's ok because I really like it where I'm at now. They told my Mom to go on bed rest and to take some medication to stop the contractions, so far it seems to be working. She goes to the Doctor on Thursday, so we'll know more then. I just wanted to keep you in the loop.

The Outdoor Fireplace

So my Dad has started to build our outdoor fireplace. He's been wanting to do this for a really long time. As you can see in the picture, this is a lot of work. He is a very crafty guy and has built alot of things for our house. I can't wait for it to be done so we can all sit by the fireplace outside! A New Picture of Me!

So, My Dad took a couple pictures today of me, you can't actually see ME yet, but you can for sure tell I'm in her tummy! And there is a picture of my Mom and my brother Duke.

So Mom and Dad went to their 2nd Birthing Class last night. I think they learned alot. There was a lot of talk about Epidurals and other kinds of pain relief for my Mom. I think she learned a lot and will be able to make a decision on what she should do. My Dad really likes the classes, I hear him laughing all the time. But the laugh sounds kind of like a nervous laugh, so I don't know if he REALLY likes it.

7.5 weeks and I'll be there!

It's almost time for me to join the World!

First of all, my name is Reese and I'm due in 8 weeks!!!

I thought I'd start telling you all about me and my family before I get there. My Mom and Dad are really excited for me to get there. They may not know this, but I can hear them talking even though I'm in my Mom's tummy still.

My Dad is a pilot in the Airforce, I can't wait for him to take me on a flight! But I guess Mom hasn't gotten to even go yet, maybe we'll get to go together. He flies the KC-10, which is a HUGE airplane that refuels other airplanes IN THE AIR.

My Mom is, well Daddy calls her, a computer geek. I know she isn't a geek, but she does work w/ computers. She works for a company that writes software for Schools. I'm not sure exactly what she does, no one does really, but I know she likes her job.

Our puppy Duke is about 1 and a half years old. He weighs 110 lbs. I think my Mom and Dad are going to get a saddle so I can ride him like he's a pony. I can't wait to meet him. I hope he likes me and gets used to me fast. I'm sure he will, whats not to love about a baby girl.

My Mom's Mom, well she wants to be called Nanna, lives only about 30 minutes away. She is really excited for me to get there too. I heard she bought me a rocking horse! I can't wait to meet her.

My other Grandma and Grandpa live only 30 minutes away too. They've already told my Mom and Dad they will watch me whenever my parents want them to. I hope they know what they're getting into :-) I'm so lucky to have all my Grandparents so close.

Well I'll tell you more as time goes on. I know I'm keeping my Mom busy with all the kicking I'm doing these days. But I'll make sure she has time to write until I get there and can take over.
